Content Management
Content Management is a database driven system in which non-technical website owners and users can create and manage website content through their web browsers via an easy-to-use interface. No knowledge of how to code web pages is required and you save on the expense of having to employ a web developer to create new content for you!
Content Management systems can also maintain version control and manage access and workflow of the content.
Many websites do not need a Content Management system but other sites may benefit. Typically these will be sites that are regularly updated with content that resides in a standard format on the web page (e.g. news items, regular articles or calendars etc).
